Anyone who has travelled to the island of Losinj (CRO) for the race of the European Cup in previous years can confirm that an early start to the season has no disadvantages whatsoever. The climate is perfect and you can get that holiday feeling on the way there. With an average of 300 days of sunshine a year, it's not unlikely that you'll catch some of them.
The Course
As usual, the track will be challenging and put riders and equipment to the test. Those who are successful here and deliver flawless runs from the start line to the harbour can claim to be ready for the rest of the season. The organisation crew has already been on site and revised the course. Jumps have been brought into shape, many loose stones and rocks have been removed and the entrance to the "Zarja" section has been widened for the triple jumps. Overall, the track is fresher and easier to ride than before, making it more attractive for less experienced riders. Some large drops have been removed from the course for this year's race.
Paddock and Accomodation
For the first time this year, the paddock can also be booked via this website. Simply go to Paddock in your profile. A parking space will cost 50 euros.
If you need accommodation, you can find a suitable offer on the following website. The nearby Hotel Punta**** or its flats with pools, spa and fitness facilities offer favourable all-inclusive prices for participants. The registration office will also be located in the hotel and the shuttle service will be right next door, so you will be ideally located there. https://www.losinj-hotels.com
What is the best way to travel
There are two ferry connections to the islands of Cres and Losinj, which are both connected by a swing bridge. Coming from Central Europe, you usually use the connection from Brestova (mainland) to Porozina (island of Cres). However, we recommend the crossing from Valbiska (island of Krk) to Merag (island of Cres), as this route is a little further, but faster and more relaxed. Both ferries are large and modern, and the crossing takes between 20 and 25 minutes. The prices for both connections for vehicles between 5 and 7 metres are around 50 euros.
