    EDC goes Spain 🇪🇸

Spanish flair 🪴

This will be the first Spanish race in the history of the iXS European Downhill Cup. Never before has the series set foot on Spanish soil. The region promises majestic mountains, unique nature and a course that has even hosted a World Cup.

The location 🧭

This unique location in the Pyrenees is the third stage of the iXS European Downhill Cup 2024. Panticosa is located in the Valle de Tena around 20 km south of the French border at an altitude of around 1,200 m above sea level and mountains up to 2,800 m above sea level. The climate is rather moderate for northern Spain with an annual rainfall of around 1,525 millimetres.

Energias de Panticosa ⚡️

The track now in use was the venue for the Grundig World Cup back in 1996. After a long break, several Spanish championships were held from 2014. The characteristic track name "Energias de Panticosa" indicates a very energetic or energy-sapping track. It is two kilometers long and descends 400 meters into the valley.
