The iXS European Downhill Cup experienced another rollercoaster ride on two wheels with the second last race of the season in Verbier. This Swiss gem in Valais was the final race of the EDC in 2023 and ensured a successful end to the season. But what can you expect this year?

Tires Fire 🔥

The legendary "Tires Fire" course is once again the setting for this race. The starting point at an altitude of 2,090 meters below Les Ruinettes throws the riders straight into a section full of thrills. With a track length of 2,800 meters and a difference in altitude of 430 meters, the course can make even the most experienced talents of the sport break out in a sweat.

From high-speed passages to technical challenges, Tires Fire is a true test of the riders' nerves and skills. Stone fields, jumps, offsets - the track is straight out of the course designer's catalog. And as if that wasn't enough, there is also the agony of choice when it comes to the various lines. One wrong decision can mean the difference between glory and the end.

A crowning finale to last year and another top race this season. Verbier is actually known for its winter sports facilities, but has developed into a year-round destination for outdoor enthusiasts in the past. The race runs from September 13 - 15. Registration opens on July 16 at 5:00 pm. The penultimate race on the EDC calendar is a real recommendation.
