    EDC premiere in a new location

The fifth round of the iXS European Downhill Cup 2025 heads to Les Orres in France - a spectacular location with one of the toughest courses on the entire calendar. From 25 to 27 July, riders and spectators will celebrate a promising premiere on French soil. Registration is now open!

Les Orres is located in the heart of the French Alps - a place known above all for its spectacular mountain scenery and challenging trails. Now the resort will host an EDC round for the first time and promises a weekend with great potential. The altitude, the technical challenges and the alpine terrain provide a backdrop that is perfect for thrilling downhill action at the highest level.

Track with character

The course in Les Orres is considered one of the toughest in the entire European Cup calendar. Wild stone fields, big drops and jumps, fast high-speed sections and nasty technical cruxes await over several kilometres. Massive boulders, rough ground and tight bends make the line not only a physical but also a mental challenge - exactly what real racers love. Even former EDC winner Mike Wutzler says that it is one of the toughest lines he has ever ridden. If you want to perform here, you need courage, technique and perfect bike control.

The race in Les Orres adds another strong chapter to the iXS European Downhill Cup. The series is not only growing geographically, but also in terms of sporting relevance. Many riders now use the EDC races as the perfect stage between World Cups and national races. The course in Les Orres is sure to bring new names to the results lists - and perhaps even have a surprise or two in store.
