    Six Races in Four Countries

In the coming season, now in its 23rd year since its inception, the iXS Downhill Cup will once again offer a first-class event calendar with six races in four countries. Old classics and new locations provide the perfect mix for racing, community, and travel.

The iXS Downhill Cup is the series for everyone who isn't competing at the very highest international level but still expects first-class races with challenging courses. And that's exactly what the series offers again next year with its perfect calendar. To put it in context and differentiate it from the European Cup, this series appeals more to amateur athletes and, in addition to racing, also offers the perfect environment for simply having a good time with friends.

#1 Kouty nad Desnou (CZE)

The series kicks off with a new venue. Kouty nad Desnou in Czechia opens the season on the first weekend in May and offers a challenging course. There is a 500-meter elevation gain over a distance of 2.5 kilometers.

#2 Willingen (GER)

Then it's off to an old acquaintance. At the end of May, the Bike Festival takes place in Willingen, bringing the iXS Downhill Cup to the track on the Ettelsberg. The race will be the highlight of the weekend, making it well worth the trip.

#3 Semmering (AUT)

At the third stop, Semmering returns to the iXS Downhill Cup after the bike park near Vienna hosted three European Cup events. So it's clear that the race will be no walk in the park.

#4 Spicak (CZE)

The fourth race takes the downhill community back to Spicak once again. The Czech town on the border with Germany has hosted European Cup races for many years. The track is extremely challenging, the atmosphere around the race is friendly, and the Czech food is delicious.

#5 Ilmenau (GER)

Ilmenau is scheduled as the penultimate stop on the program. Downhill races have been held in this Thuringian university town since 1996, making the so-called Absolute Abfahrt a classic event.

#6 Bellwald (SUI)

Once again, the Swiss mountain village of Bellwald will host the final race. On the first weekend in October, the season traditionally comes to an end on the high-speed track high up in the beautiful Valais region. There is probably no better place to say goodbye to your racing friends.

As you can see, the calendar only lists places where you could go on vacation even without a bike. But of course, a race is the best reason for a trip, so the racing community can look forward to the coming season and slowly start making their first preparations.
