    iXS DHC #2 Festival Race

The second round of the iXS Downhill Cup 2025 at the iXS Dirt Masters Festival in Winterberg had it all: sun, rain, thick mud and good vibes only. On the legendary track in the Sauerland region, over 500 riders took part in thrilling races - with a South African surprise winner and a dominant US rider.

Friday - Sunny start

Friday greeted drivers and spectators with dry weather and pleasant temperatures. The training runs went smoothly and the expo area with over 100 brands created a festival atmosphere. Visitors were able to find out about the latest products on the bike scene and get their first impressions of the track. Abby Hogie (USA - Beyond Racing) and Jesse Schulte (GER - Rembe Rad.net) presented the new course in perfect weather conditions.

Saturday - Changeable conditions

The weather showed its moody side on Saturday. Conditions were still good during practice, but rain showers arrived just in time for the seeding run. The drivers had to adjust to changing track conditions, which made for additional excitement. Nevertheless, the atmosphere in the paddock and among the spectators remained unbroken.

Sunday - Muddy finale

Sunday's race day was accompanied by persistent rain, which turned the track into a slippery challenge. South African Rory Kirk took the lead in the Elite Men category with a time of 1:40.698 minutes. He was closely followed by the German Julian Steiner (PIVOT), 0.468 seconds behind. Third place went to New Zealander Wyn Masters (GT Continental Factory Racing), who impressed as always with his aggressive riding style.

US rider Abigail Hogie dominated the Elite Women's race and secured victory. Kine Haugom (NOR - DH Talent Team) and Roos op de Beek (BEL - Loose Riders) followed in second and third place.
