Maribor in Slovenia is one of the world’s best-known destinations for mountain bike racing. International events were already being held there back in the 1990s. This year, the iXS European Downhill Cup will hold its final here, and registration is now open!

The Location 

Maribor has been one of the most traditional venues for the European Downhill Cup for many years. With its modern lift system, excellent facilities and close proximity to the city, the Pohorje Bike Park offers the ideal conditions for an international race weekend. The friendly atmosphere and passionate fans therefore make Maribor a fitting venue for the season finale.

The track

The legendary World Cup course in Maribor is one of Europe’s most demanding classics. Spanning 2.6 kilometres and 450 metres of elevation gain, it features a mix of fast forest sections, technical root sections, rocks and numerous line choices. The natural character of the track demands the utmost concentration from the very first metre to the very last, and regularly ensures thrilling racing right up to the finish line.
