    Round 5 in Poland

The summer season of the iXS European Downhill Cup is entering its most intense phase. EDC #5 in Szczyrk takes place at a venue that has already made its mark on the World Cup circuit in recent years. A fast track, modern facilities and the stunning backdrop of the Polish Beskids promise another epic race weekend.

The new EDC venue

From 31 July to 2 August, the EDC will be stopping off at the Szczyrk Mountain Resort. The region is one of Poland’s best-known cycling destinations and has long made a name for itself on the European gravity scene.

With state-of-the-art lift facilities, excellent infrastructure and a growing cycling community, Szczyrk offers the perfect conditions for top-class downhill cycling. The combination of alpine terrain, dense forests and spectacular views makes it one of the most attractive stops of the season.

A challenging track

The downhill course in Szczyrk is the epitome of modern racing. Fast sections alternate with technical sections, whilst roots, rocks and numerous line choices ensure that the time gaps between riders remain tight.

The varied route in particular demands a high degree of adaptability from the riders. Anyone hoping to compete at the front here needs not only speed, but also precision and the right choice of line.

The season is entering its final stages

Following several top-class races across Europe, Szczyrk promises yet another weekend packed with thrilling battles, high-octane excitement and world-class downhill racing. Registration for Round 5 of the iXS EDC in Poland is now open. See you there!
