General Team Information

Here is some important information from the local organiser about the race in Maribor (SLO), especially regarding Corona regulations and accommodation bookings.

Dear All,

Maribor is proud to host a race of the iXS EUROPEAN DOWNHILL CUP 2021 again, after one year break in 2020 because of the COVID-19 situation. We hope that all of you had a good preparation period and we wish you all the best for the races in the season 2021. We would like to share some preliminary information with you regarding the race in Maribor, August, 3rd till 5th 2021.


Team area will be located at the parking slot under the official event hotel Arena, as marked on the map.

Please mind the event will be organized under valid COVID-19 restrictions. Since the measures are still changing often, for the start we would like to point out crossing the border to Slovenia.


In order to ensure the maximum safety of residents and passengers, certain measures are in place when entering Slovenia, which may be loosened slightly by August 2021, but in any case at the border you will be asked to show:

1.Negative PCR or rapid antigen (HAG) COVID-19 test, which must not be older than 48 hours after taking the swab, or

2.Positive PCR test, older than 10 days – not older than 6 months / or the doctor’s certificate confirming you recovered from COVID-19 in above mentioned time slot or

3.Proof of vaccination. You are treated as vaccined if:

·at least seven days have passed since the second dose of the Comirnaty vaccine by BioNTech/Pfizer,

·at least 14 days have passed since the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by Moderna,

·at least 21 days have passed since the first dose of the Vaxzevria (COVID-19 vaccine) by AstraZeneca,

·at least 14 days have passed since the dose of the COVID-19 vaccine Janssen by Johnson & Johnson/Janssen-Cilag,

·at least 21 days have passed since the first dose of the Covishield vaccine by the Serum Institute of India/AstraZeneca,

·at least 14 days have passed since the second dose of the Sputnik V vaccine by Russia's Gamaleya National Centre of Epidemiology and Microbiology,

·at least 14 days have passed since the second dose of the CoronaVac vaccine by Sinovac Biotech, or

·at least 14 days have passed since the second dose of the COVID-19 vaccine by Sinopharm.

Organizers will ensure rapid (HAG) COVID-19 testing close to the event venue. We will send the schedule in due time as the testing point won’t be all event long at your disposal. If you are not vaccinated or did not recover from COVID-19 in the past 6 months, you will need to do the test every 48 hours.

As the conditions are changing please follow current measures when entering in Slovenia Enter Slovenia (policija.si).

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, booking overnight stays (including caravans etc.) via the central system is mandatory.


Only local accreditations will be valid during the whole event. We will issue your local accreditations at your arrival at the check-point.

Keep in mind, one of the listed documents you will need to enter Slovenia and attend the world cup race.
