People from all over the world gather in Voss during Ekstremsportveko to do what they love the most: perform their favorite activity in epic surroundings. Ranging from kayaking, rafting MTB-BMX, skateboarding, skydiving, paragliding, multisport, freeride, big air, climbing, speedflying, cliff diving, wind tunnel, BASE, and longboarding. It is an action-packed week with 18 extreme sports and 1300 athletes competing in over 30 different competitions across all of Voss.

This year the Extreme Kayak World Championship is going down in the pristine rivers of Voss and the iXS European Downhill Cup in the mountains of the ski slopes at Voss Resort.

This alone is reason enough to find your way here, but on top of that, you'll get to experience a week loaded with great music, heaps of activities, and stoke. This festival is jam-packed with a range of events that everyone can enjoy.

Racing downhill and grooving to "Bad boys" in the evening

After a big day out freeriding trails, logging enduro, or racing downhill, there is always something happening down by the festival arena. Live music is back, and the festival venue is set to bring back the après vibes. With famous reggae tunes from Inner Circle "Bad boys." To the kings of party-rock n roll Turbonegro, a beacon in Norwegian rock history, ready to make an "h**** of a party" for the visitors.

iXS competition track

The downhill track has been used for many years in the Norwegian Downhill Cup. Despite the fact that Brage Vestavik broke his back two months before in Australia, he crushed all the other competitors on this slope back in the 2016 Scandinavian Cup.

"Wild times in the mud here in Voss!" he said.

In 2021 the track got a proper makeover with new features, fast, tight, and technical sections to look forward to. We are just saying it might be time to visit Norway and explore new trails.

Norway's and Voss's topography is perfect for MTB, with mountains and vast forests, and the dramatic vistas accompanying them. The options go from beginners and children as well as to experienced thrill seekers, so the whole family can join in. For the experience, we got iXS European DH Cup, Chinese Downhill, Dual Slalom, Urban Downhilland guided tours.
