iXS German Downhill Cup 2009

General regulations

 

The Series consists of five separate international races. All races are financial, legal and sporting independent. The General Regulations and the UCI Rules apply to all races. The total result consists of four final results. The results will be published on www.ixsdownhillcup.com. To solve the problem of recruitment, the race is open to all professional and hobby riders.

 

Registration

 

Every rider has to use the registration form on www.ixsdownhillcup.com. For registration please include date of birth and UCI licence code.
Starters under age of 18 require signed consent by their Parent, or other legal guardian.

 

Registration time limit

 

Registration and payment deadline is always on Friday one week before the races. If the fee is received on the account, the registration will be valid. All payments should include the registration number (confirmation mail).   
If the registered starter cannot attend the race, he has no right to reclaim the registration fee.

 

Registration Fee/Transportation Fee

 

The fee to attend the race is 40,- €, if received one week before the races. This fee includes transportation from the finish area to the start via shuttle or lift. Riders under age of 18 pay 35, - €.
After the registration deadline the fee increases to 50,- €. (Juniors pay Euro 45,- €).

 

Number plates

 

Every rider gets a new number plate at every race. Number plates must be fixed in front of the handlebar and should readable throughout the race.

 

Starters

 

The race is open to all professionals and hobby riders.
Starters under age of 18 have to attach the permit from their parents or other legal Guardian.

 

Starting interval

 

Starting interval between riders is 30 seconds, except the best 10 riders of the licence elite class, where there will be an interval of 1 minute.

 

Starting order

 

For the final run, the starting order will be in accordance with the results of the previous seeding run. The order in the seeding runs complies with the total results of the series.

Elite Women: Year of birth 1991 and older

Junior male: Year of birth 1995 - 1992

Junior female: Year of birth 1995 - 1992




Senior: Year of birth 1980 and older
Masters: Year of birth 1980 and older

Deposit training

 

All competitors must ride the track on Saturday in the morning. That training run will be registered and the riders can start at seeding run only with the registration.

 

Equipment

 

The following safety gear is required for every racer:

- elbows
- knees
- back and chest
- full face helmet (recommendation: double-d safety lock)
- gloves with full hand protection
The local organizer is responsible for compliance with regulations under this term.

 

Technical condition of bikes

 

Every Rider is responsible for the bike, the material and the protection equipment. The condition, quality and construction are to ensure the safety for riders, competitors or other persons.

 

Ceremony

 

The first three riders will be honoured with a ceremony, 30 minutes after the race.

 

Prize money

 

Prize money will be paid directly after the ceremony at the organization office. The organization is not responsible for paying the prize money at a later date. Prize money for each category is defined by the BDR or UCI.  The prize money is paid up to the 10th place except for juniors and women.
If there are less than 27 riders per category, only 1/3 of the riders eligible for price money will be paid!

The Free-Categories will get non cash prizes. All prizes will deliver directly after the winner ceremony at the organization office. The organization is not responsible for paying the prize money at a later date.

 

Points for total results

The total result consists of four seeding run results and four final results. That means the worst seeding run and the worst final run will be deleted. The results of the last race in Thale can not deleted. The total result will be published on www.ixsdownhillcup.com.

UCI- Points (only in the finals)

 

The functionaries are responsible for Points of UCI.

 

Protest

 

Protests against the result or disqualifications should be addressed to functionaries.

 

Responsibilities

 

The starters attend the race on their own account and on their own risk. The starter is responsible for the safety of his bike and clothes. The organization is not responsible and cannot be held responsible for any injuries and damages as results of any action during the whole racing weekend. This Agreement starts with the registration. The organization keeps the right to make any necessary changes or even to cancel the whole race according to safety problems at any time in the race, official orders, government laws and other unforeseen events.

 

Waiver of Liability

 

Every Starter understands and admits that his participation in the race is voluntary. He assumes full responsibility for any injuries or damages from his participation in the race. He recognizes and understands that the activities may be hazardous, that his participation is solely at his own risk and that he assumes full responsibility for any resulting injuries and damages that may occur.
Every Starter has to affirm, that he is in good health. He declares that he is physically fit and capable to participate in the race.
Every Starter has to acknowledge that he has read and understand this entire waiver of Liability and agrees to be legally bound by it.

 

Withdrawal

 

The racing officials hold the right to withdraw starters if they feel there is a danger for the starter or any other person.

 

 

Additional Information safety rules by the BDR and UCI

 

In addition to this agreement the organization refers to the safety rules and racing agreement defined by the BDR and UCI.

 

Data protection

 

By submitting an application to take part in a race the participants also allow the Cup organisation and the event organisers to use personal data for campaigns and activities connected to the events. The organisers shall have unlimited rights to publish pictures of the participants; to forward these photos to press representatives and to use them for marketing activities.
