Within the scope of the iXS Swiss Downhill Cup this year’s Swiss Championships will be held in Zermatt. This underlines the ambition of Zermatt, a sport-oriented holiday resort, to establish itself as a sporting Eldorado. In 2008 the then newly built biking course was inaugurated as the venue for the national championships. This year’s race on the Matterhorn will be another highlight, not at least in reason of the high profile of the Swiss Championships and the SDC.
